DULUTH, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 5, 2009--AGCO, Your Agriculture Company, (NYSE: AG), a worldwide manufacturer and
distributor of agriculture equipment, today announced that effective
January 1, 2009, Lucinda Smith, former AGCO Vice President, Global
Talent Management & Rewards, has been appointed Senior Vice President,
Human Resources. Smith will assume all responsibilities associated with
that position, including functional management of all HR organizations
worldwide, interface to the Board of Director's Compensation and
Succession Planning Committees, and serve as an Officer of the Company.

Lucinda joined AGCO in October 2006 as Director, Organizational
Development & Compensation. She has been a leader in the implementation
of AGCO University, Global Rewards and Performance Management
initiatives. Prior to AGCO, Lucinda was Global Director of Human
Resources at AJC International, Inc. and before that she held various
domestic and international human resource management positions at Lend
Lease Corporation, Cendian Corporation and Georgia-Pacific Corporation.
Norm Boyd, formerly Senior Vice President, Human Resources, has assumed
AGCO's newly created position of Senior Vice President, Executive
Development. Boyd remains an Officer of the Company, reporting directly
to Martin Richenhagen, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.
