AGCO SVP Among Most Powerful and Influential Women in Georgia

AGCO, Your Agriculture Company (NYSE: AGCO), a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, announced the Georgia Diversity Council's recognition of Lucinda B. Smith, AGCO Senior Vice President, Human Resources, as one of the most powerful and influential women in Georgia. Ms. Smith will receive the award at the Georgia Leadership Conference today for her dedication and results as a leader. The 2011 Georgia Leadership Conference is organized by the Georgia Diversity Council. The statewide conference focuses on the "sharing and promoting of leadership excellence skills in the Georgia area." The conference serves as a statewide dialogue for experienced professionals in Georgia and recognizes individuals for their commitment and hard work. This year's theme is, "Leadership First: Spearheading Advancement".
Lucinda B. Smith was appointed Senior Vice President, Human Resources, in January 2009. Smith, former Vice President, Global Talent Management & Rewards, is responsible for functional management of all Human Resources organizations worldwide, representative to the Board of Director's Compensation and Succession Planning Committees, and serves as an Officer of the Company.
Smith joined AGCO in October 2006 as Director, Organizational Development & Compensation. She has been a leader in the implementation of AGCO University, Global Total Rewards and Performance Management initiatives. Prior to AGCO, Smith was Global Director of Human Resources at AJC International, Inc. and before that she held various domestic and international human resource management positions at Lend Lease Corporation, Cendian Corporation, and Georgia-Pacific Corporation.
Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Scripps College in Claremont, California and also serves as an advisor to the Society for Human Resource Management's (SHRM) global expertise panel. Smith became a member of the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in 2011, and received the Charles R. Yates Award for the Woodruff Arts Center Global Firms Committee Fundraising, 2010-2011.
