AGCO Corporation Is Recipient of the International GOOD DESIGN(TM) Award For Its Innovative Challenger(R) MT900 Tractor Series

DULUTH, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 21, 2008--AGCO Corporation (NYSE: AG), a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, is a recipient of the innovative, international 2007 Good Design Awards for its Challenger MT900 tractor series. Challenger is one of AGCO's four core global brands that markets industry leading agricultural equipment. Using innovative designs and groundbreaking technology, AGCO produces Challenger brand products that combine high specifications with superior reliability. With the introduction of the MT900 tractor series, the Challenger brand is pushing the limits in production and breaking records as the industry's largest production, 4-wheel-drive, articulated tractor.

The Good Design Awards are presented by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design to the world's most prestigious industrial design firms and manufacturers in more than 26 countries. The judges for these awards base their decisions on aesthetic criteria stated in their original 1950 program--criteria which measures innovation, appearance, quality, function and utility.

"AGCO is proud to win this innovative Good Design Award from one of the most prestigious institutes known worldwide for its design distinction," said Martin Richenhagen, Chairman, President and CEO of AGCO Corporation. "AGCO is committed to using innovative designs and is making significant investments in its future to address the changing needs of professional farmers who require more innovative machinery to increase efficiency and productivity."

"Congratulations to AGCO's world class team of engineering, marketing, manufacturing and management who invested their time and spirit in the development of the Challenger MT900," said Richenhagen.
