AGCO Appoints Hans-Bernd Veltmaat as Senior Vice President - Manufacturing & Quality

DULUTH, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 2, 2008--AGCO Corporation (NYSE:AG), a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, announced today that it has appointed Hans-Bernd Veltmaat as Senior Vice President - Manufacturing & Quality. Hans-Bernd brings to this position a wealth of experience and demonstrated leadership in production management that significantly deepens our leadership team and allows us to focus more intently on our manufacturing initiatives, said Martin Richenhagen, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of AGCO Corporation. He will be instrumental to our success as we strengthen our focus on continuous improvement through workforce training and development programs, facility upgrades and manufacturing process improvements. Veltmaat has 30 years of industrial and manufacturing experience, most recently with Alba AG, one of Germany's leading waste treatment and recycling companies where he served as Group Executive Vice President of Recycling. Prior to working at Alba AG, Veltmaat gained experience in agricultural equipment manufacturing during his eleven year employment with Claas KGaA in Germany. As Group Executive Vice President of Claas KGaA and member of the Claas Group Executive Board, Hans-Bernd was responsible for seven international agricultural machinery production companies and managed the start-up of new factories in Russia and India and the implementation of new production and logistic processes.
