AGCO Senior Executive, Norm Boyd, Receives Executive Appointment to Georgia's Board of Community Health by Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue
DULUTH, Ga., Aug 11, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- AGCO, Your Agriculture Company, a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, today announced that its Senior Vice President of Executive Development, Norman L. Boyd, has been appointed by Governor Perdue to Georgia's Board of Community Health. The Department of Community Health champions access to affordable, quality health care in our communities, responsible health planning and use of health care resource, healthy behaviors and improved health outcomes.

Boyd has been a part of the AGCO leadership team for 16 years where he has held several key management positions. In January 2009, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Executive Development. As part of his responsibilities, Boyd works with Management Teams to provide guidance and counseling to facilitate effective support of AGCO's culture and strategy.

Boyd presently serves on the Board of Advisors of the Georgia Coverdell Leadership Institute, is a member of the U.S. Russian Business Council and the North America Corporate Directors Association. He earned a bachelor's degree from Indiana University and completed the Executive Management Program at Dartmouth College. He has a wife, Colleen, and two grown children.
